Women’s Fund to kick off initiative for young women

SPRINGFIELD - A partnership initiative here designed to help women, particularly women of color, remain in the area and improve their economic prospects, will kick off Oct. 18, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the UMass Center in Tower Square. LEAD Awards Go to Women’s Funds Supporting Young Women and Girls of Color

Leaders from eight women’s funds across the country that spearheaded the Young Women’s Initiative received the 2018 Leadership and Diversity Award, given by the The Women’s Funding Network at their annual summit, taking place this week in San Francisco. Young Women’s Initiative to work on closing racial-gender gaps in Minnesota

A first-of-its-kind initiative may help close some of Minnesota’s longstanding racial and gender disparities. On Tuesday Gov. Mark Dayton and Lt. Gov.
